8th Annual Modoc Heritage Foundation

Hot Summer Car Show

By Chelsea Bacon

The 8th Annual “Hot Summer Car Show,” organized by the Modoc Heritage Foundation, took place on Saturday August 24th, despite being almost “a wash, literally,” according to event organizers. Heavy rain kept many car enthusiasts at home, but a few diehard participants braved the weather to showcase their vehicles.

The event, which featured a wide variety of summer cars, also included a sock hop, street dance, and live music by the Joey Carmon Band. A free lunch was provided for seniors in the afternoon, courtesy of the foundation.

Organizers expressed their gratitude to local businesses for donating door prizes, which added excitement to the day despite the challenging weather conditions.
