Delivery Man Survives Vicious Dog Attack, Completes Rabies Shots: Urges Pet Owners to Vaccinate and Secure Animals

Last week the Record published an article about a delivery man being attacked by a vicious dog. Besides the trauma of being bitten in the face, the dog had not been vaccinated for rabies. This placed the man in a worrisome position. To get the shots or not. Since rabies is 100 percent fatal, he opted for the shots.
He has now completed the two week series of shots that would prevent him from developing the disease, should the dog test positive. His wounds are almost completely healed. He is still delivering packages, with one exception, at one house he just hangs the packages on the fence.“I would urge everyone to vaccinate their dogs and cats. And please keep them in an enclosed area,” he said.
