The rural expanse of Modoc County, characterized by its picturesque scenery and diverse farmland, becomes a haven for newborns as the warmth of spring envelops the region.

Driving through Modoc County, it’s impossible not to encounter a mother and her offspring, whether nestled in the heart of agricultural fields or hidden within the natural wilderness. However, amidst the beauty of this seasonal phenomenon, challenges loom on the horizon. Remaining aware of what could be frolicking onto our streets and highways is a great way to ensure the continued success of our wildlife.
