Van Fire Incident Near Bomen Rd. Prompts Investigation

A van fire occurring Tuesday afternoon on Hwy 395 towards Lakeview has sparked an investigation into its cause.

Authorities report the fire started while the vehicle was in operation west of Bomen Rd. Two individuals were inside the van at the time, with one passenger sustaining burns that necessitated medical attention.

According to initial findings, the fire did not last long and was extinguished before law enforcement arrived on the scene. Despite the incident, the van remained operational and was able to be driven away.

The exact cause of the fire has yet to be determined. It is not believed to be a mechanical error to the van. 

Officials believe the occupants were residents from a coastal area.

Further details regarding the circumstances of the incident are pending as the investigation continues.
