Braves Dominate Butte Valley 6-1 in Shasta Cascade League Debut

Modoc Soccer opened up Shasta Cascade League play on Tuesday 8/27 against Butte Valley. The Braves gave up a goal early to go down 1-0. Right before half time, Savannah Connors passed the ball to Axel Salazar who put the ball in the back of the net to even it up at 1 heading into halftime. The Braves exploded for 5 goals in the second half, where they continued to control the game in the midfield and dominate the game from wire to wire. Cache Knight, Irvin Salazar and Connors each added a goal in the second half. Mackenzie Diven added two goals to give Modoc Soccer the 6-1 victory and earn 3 points in Shasta Cascade League play. Caiden Imhoff added an assist in the second half. Randi Urban, Angel Lopez, Caelan Hughes and Elliot Fuentes contributed a strong defensive effort in the game. Coach Sevilla credits a total team effort in creating opportunities for the Braves. Sevilla and the team would also like to thank the fans who came out in full force.
