Modoc County Sheriff Tex Dowdy responded to our question about a shooting death in Cal Pines.
“Our office did investigate the shooting death of Isaac Santiago,” Dowdy said.“The Washoe County Medical Examiner’s Office has determined that his death was in fact a suicide from a single gunshot wound. There was no evidence discovered during the autopsy exam supporting foul play.
