Modoc Braves Kick Off Season with Big Win and Celebrate 100 Years of Football: Home Opener Set for Friday”

The Braves opened their season with a 34-20 win over Fall River at the Fall River Fair Bowl on the 28th, showcasing strong performances on both offense and defense. Multiple incredible highlights to mention was Landon Malcolm passing 4-6, 55 yds and 2 touchdowns. Chris Guasp brought in 3 receptions 55 yds, Lewis Crumwell 13 carries 159 yds, Sutton Cockrell had 11 tackles and Nash McCulley added a key interception, further solidifying the Braves’ defensive efforts. The Junior Varsity team also claimed a win, defeating Fall River 13-8.

Modoc High School is looking forward to their MHS Football Teams & the Lady Brave Cheer Squad taking the field at the home opener at Ed Carver Field this Friday, September 6th. This is a special year as the community celebrates a CENTURY of Modoc Football. Gates open at 4:45 pm, with the JV football team kicking-off at 5:30 pm. 

A few reminders for Brave Country:

  1. You can purchase season, family & individual game passes on gofan. You can also purchase your parking spot there. It’s quick and easy. 
  2. Prices are as follows:

ADULTS $7

SENIOR CITIZENS (60+) $5

STUDENTS W/O ASB   $5

MHS STUDENTS W/ASB  FREE (Must show ID card w/Sticker)

ALL (K-8) STUDENTS $4 With ADULT

STUDENTS in Grades K-5 must be supervised by an adult and the adult must be present at the gate with the student upon entry.

Students (Grades 6.7.8)  Unaccompanied by an adult $15

  1. Kiddos will not be allowed behind the end zones or score board. All students will be encouraged to sit in the stands in order to cheer for our teams and show MHS pride.
  2. Students are expected to follow MJUSD & MHS policies, rules and expectations. If students misbehave, consequences will occur.  
  3. MHS students who are on our ineligibility list are not allowed to participate in any athletic events or extra-curricular activities.
  4. MHS students who were not present for a minimum of 3 out of the 4 class periods on game day will not be allowed entry.  Absences must be called in (as always) in order to be verified. Administrative discretion will also be used.
  5. Wear your purple and white and bring your Modoc Pride. Be sure to check out the Booster’s MHS swag and get a bite to eat at concessions. There is  something for everyone!
