Monthly Salary Range: $3,616 – $5,610. Closing Date: Open Until Filled The Modoc County Auditor’s Department is accepting applications for the position of an Accountant/Auditor I. The Accountant/Auditor I is the entry level class in the professional Accountant/Auditor series. Initially under close supervision, incumbents perform the more routine accounting duties while learning County and departmental policies and procedures and becoming familiar with departmental systems and practices. As experience is gained, duties become more diversified and are performed under more general supervision. Incumbents may advance to the higher levels after gaining experience and demonstrating proficiency which meet the qualifications for the higher level classes.
Experience and Education: Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be experience with some professional level accounting. Education equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in accounting, finance, business administration or a related field.
