Tragic Accident Claims Two Lives, Injures One Near Klamath Falls

Three residents from Alturas were involved in a fatal collision while traveling North to Klamath Falls, OR earlier this week. The driver reportedly slumped over the wheel all of a sudden, accelerating on the gas and causing the vehicle to veer off the road into a tree. Sadly, both the driver and backseat passenger lost their lives in the accident.

The third passenger in the involved vehicle sustained multiple injuries but survived the accident and is currently in the hospital receiving medical attention.

Names of the involved will not be released until all families have been notified. This devastating incident has deeply affected the Alturas community, and thoughts are with the families and friends of those involved as they navigate this difficult time.
