Scholarships

Brennan is the son of Thomas and Tiffany Martinez from Lake City, CA. Brennan has been involved in the Surprise Valley FFA, Superior Region FFA, Associated Student Body Officer, and the Modoc County Junior Livestock Show Board to name a few. Brennan plans to attend Oregon Institute of Technology and study in the field of Radiologic Technology hoping to put his social skills and passion for helping others as a Radiologist.

Brennan Martinez is the recipient of the Carolyn Richardson Memorial Scholarship. Carolyn Richardson was an environmental attorney for the California Farm Bureau  and a firm believer that the stewardship of land, water and profitable farming are not incompatible. She dedicated her time working for solutions of endangered species, water and grazing in Modoc County, both the Tulelake and Goose Lake Basins.

Shelby Criner, a 2022 Graduating Senior from Modoc High School has been selected to receive the 2024 Rustici Scholarship administered by the California Farm Bureau. The Rustici Livestock and Rangeland Scholarship provides financial assistance for students who are interested in preparing for a career in rangeland management and an emphasis towards cattle and sheep ranching in conjunction with good rangeland practices. 

The Russell Rustici Livestock and Rangeland Scholarships began in 2007 and there has been over 1.52 million dollars awarded from this scholarship program.

Shelby is the daughter of Brad and Ruth Ann Criner from Canby California. She is attending Chico State University and studying Animal Science.  Shelby’s commitment to ranching and livestock production honors Mr. Rustici’s legacy.

Shayla Crawford got the McConnell Scholarship for $30,000 ❤️ and was blessed with scholarships from the Federated Church, Modoc High Class of 1947, MJUSD Board of Trustees and Modoc Veterinary Center!
