Burglary and Evading Suspect Sentenced to State Prison

Gianluca Faia was sentenced to two years in state prison after pleading guilty to multiple felony charges. Faia was arrested on April 17, 2024, following a high-speed police chase.

On Thursday, June 6, 2024, Faia admitted to Felony First Degree Burglary and Felony Evading. The Modoc County District Attorney’s Office announced the sentence, emphasizing the collaborative efforts of local law enforcement and justice partners.

“Thank you to our local law enforcement and justice partners for assisting the District Attorney’s Office in holding another individual accountable and working hard to get criminals off the streets of Modoc County,” the District Attorney’s Office stated.

This case is just one prime example of the ongoing commitment to swiftly removing criminals from the streets of Modoc County.
